Efficiency of Coloposcopic Examination in Abnormal Cervical Cytology

Abstract
|
|
|
And this study was performed to evaluate the diagnostic value of colposcopy in the investigation of cervical neoplasia.
@ES The results were follows;
@EN 1. The mean age of the patients was 44 years. The satisfactory group consisted of 91.3% and unsatisfactory group consisted of 8.7%.
2. In 126 patients of satisfactory group, the accuracy of cytology was 80.2%(within 1 histologic degree). The false positive rate was 71.% and false negative rate 12.7%.
3. In 126 patients of satisfactory group. The accuracy of colposcopic impression was 92.1%(within 1 histologic degree). The false positive rate was 1.6% and false negative rate 6.3%.
4. The histology of colposcopically directed biopsy was accurate in 98.5%(within 1 histologic degree). The false positive rate was 0% and false negative rate 1.5%.
